Kiara First Tae Kwon Do teaches the original, non-competitive style of Taekwondo, which emphasises practical self-defence skills and the physical / mental development of our members. Our members train twice weekly and also have the option of attending other First Tae Kwon Do classes at other venues throughout the week at no extra cost.
We accept children from the age of 6 to adults to the age of 60. We invite interested members to come along to a class to see what our training is like, and to apply for a free introductory class.
SELF-DEFENCE
First Martial Arts teaches traditional TaeKwonDo which involves dynamic techniques for self-defensive purposes, combining the skilled application of powerful punches, kicks, blocks, dodges and interceptions- the First Martial Arts practitioner uses well trained hands, arms and feet to effect the rapid immobilisation of an attacker.
To join one of our many Dojangs or learn more about our martial arts style we offer, please come along and attend an introduction trial lesson by one of our experienced First Martial Arts Instructors.
FITNESS & WELL BEING
The movements in TaeKwonDo are scientifically designed with a specific purpose in mind. Many movements involve beneficial stretching of the arms, legs and torso and regular practice of the Art will increase your level of aerobic fitness. With the toning of muscles and lose of weight, members should eventually achieve a figure that is proportionate and strong. Also, the mental aspects of Traditional (Non-competitive) Tae Kwon Do enable you to develop a far more positive attitude to life in general.
