Before obtaining a specialist title as Accredited Mental Health Social Worker I completed a masters degree in Counselling. My qualifications allow clients with a mental health treatment plan from a GP to receive a Medicare rebate for individual face-to-face or tele-health treatment.

Individuals, married couples and parents with children use this service.

My Christian world view influences my practice and clients are welcome to include their value system in our sessions. Some of my specialties are: personal counselling for depression, men's issues, managing anxiety at home/work, managing overwhelm from trauma including Family and Domestic Violence, childhood neglect/lack of bonded care or historical child abuse, resolving marriage conflict/challenges, recovery planning for alcohol and other drug use, and for improving recovery from serious and more enduring mental ill health. Both marriage and family counselling (including support with parenting) are provided. Christian support and prayer are available. Practicing and student counsellors or chaplains are welcome to seek clinical supervision with this service; including via Signal/Skype.

Most of my clients are adults or high school age although I do see some younger children. Clients of the WA Insurance Commission are welcome and I provides an Outreach Programme Counsellor service for Open Arms (veterans and veterans families counselling service). If your employer is willing to use this service for their Employee Assistance Provider eligible fees can be billed to your employer. I am a senior consultant with Converge International.

Previously, I managed a branch of Relationships Australia; worked as a case manager in adult mental health (community/inpatient) and as a high school counsellor.
