The Aikido KIATYAMA Dojo is a local martial arts club aiming to improve our community's Self-defense awareness. We are based in Upper Coomera on the Northside of the Gold Coast.
Our head instructor is Gotaro Kitayama Sensei who originates from OSAKA, Japan.

We are an associate Dojo of Bayside BUDOKAI which is funded by Brisbane's well-known martial artist David KOLB Sensei. Our BUDOKAI Hombu / headquarter has an affiliation with Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan and all our gradings are recognized internationally.

We run classes every TUESDAY & THURSDAY
1, 16:00-16:30 - Young Kids & Parents Class (for 3yrs to 7 yrs)
2, 16:45-17:45 - Kids Class (for 7yrs to 12 yrs)
3, 18:00-19:00 - Adult Beginners Class (13yrs+)
4, 19:00-20:00 - Adult General Class (13yrs+)

**Closed on Public Holiday & School Holidays
** We offer "6-Week Aikido CHANLLENGE for beginners (4 times a year)

At KITAYAMA DOJO, we have a true BUDO approach that focuses not only the martial side of AIKIDO but also Japanese culture which Aikido is based on, thereby allowing students to learn Aikido philosophy.

Aikido is not a sport and there are no competitions. Therefore the practice can be done within your own ability and at your own pace. It is unlike any other martial art and you can practice it regardless of age, gender or fitness ability.
