Owen is a Medicare registered Counsellor with a background of:-
private practice since 1999;
management of a branch of Relationships Australia;
5 years as a case manager in community and inpatient adult mental health at Armadale Mental Health Service;
5 years managing a school counselling service at one of Perths oldest private secondary colleges.

He has been married since 1984 and has 2 adult children. His other qualifications include:
MA (Counselling) - La Sierra University
Diploma of Management - University of Newcastle)
B Social Work (Curtin)
B Education (Science) - Avondale College of Higher Education.

Owen is Accredited for Medicare rebates and has a current Working with Children Check (available to view upon request). A Medicare rebate is available for individual counselling sessions if you see your GP for a mental healthcare plan before attending. (ask for a long appointment when you see the GP). A rebate is not available for sessions that are primarily couple counselling sessions.

Most of Owen's work has been with adults. Now that children's records have to be kept until a child turn 25 Owen does not see children any longer but has a colleague who does.

Owen has a Christian world view and sees people from any spiritual belief systems. Owen may ask if you want prayer and of course you are welcome to accept or decline. Owen has broad training in treatment/counselling models other than Christian counselling. Helpful insights from your own belief system may be encouraged by Owen.

Owen is registered with Blue Knot Foundation (formerly Adult Survivors of Child Abuse) as a trauma-informed clinician.

Remote counselling and clinical supervision is available if prearranged via Signal, Skype or Zoom.

Clients of the Insurance Commission of Western Australia are welcome.
