Beth Kavanagh Naturopathy is based on the principles of providing healthcare using naturopathic principles of prevention being better than cure and treating the cause. My extensive experience working in Western Medicine, and also the experience of family members and friends as patients, led me to become a naturopath. I completed my Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) in 2017 and since then, I have been consulting with local clients at my home office but also with clients Australia-wide with the availability of online telehealth appointments and prescriptions. I am a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association.
I treat each client as an individual and work with them to bring back into balance all the factors that can affect health and wellbeing. As a naturopathic practitioner I look at you as an individual and attempt to bring back into balance all the factors that can affect health and wellbeing. A range of services are available. I like to use food and lifestyle advice as much as possible however often treatment will require the use of nutritional supplements and/or herbs. Each client receives a personalised treatment plan outlining the steps we will take towards achieving their goals.
I love researching to put together the optimum treatment plan for each client and am constantly updating my knowledge and skills with continuing professional education. Using an evidence-based approach means I can work to safely complement any existing treatment and medication and give additional benefit.
My areas of interest include inflammatory conditions, the microbiome, reproductive health, sports medicine and men's health. My goal is always to enable my clients to manage their own health in the long term.
I offer the first two appointments as a package. The first is 1.5 hours to take a detailed health history. After 1-2 weeks to put together the treatment plan, we have another appointment of 0.5 hours to go through the plan and start treatment.
